Random thoughts

It's 12:36am, and I'm a bit tired. But I scared of falling into 'Tammy who doesn't blog for months' land again, and this is the last thing to do on my list before going to bed tonight. So here it is.

Another post.

Ta-da!

Had stake meetings tonight. I always enjoy them, but they always go for a looooong time. 7pm to 10:45pm tonight... but we got some good stuff done. The priests/laurels ball, the next fireside, a stake dance, and a upcoming YM/YW service project are all on the agenda for the next month.

My mum and sisters all went to an advanced screening of "the Proposal" at the movies tonight. I had invited them all so we could have a girls night, bought the tickets, and made up cute little gift bags for the night. Then I noticed that a few of the constant YW emails I get were making references to tonight's meetings, and a quick check in my diary (you know, the book that I keep now, so that I'll stop double booking myself) pointed out that I had meetings tonight and couldn't actually GO to the movies... Apparently they had fun.

Someone just signed into MSN and my computer made a 'bing' sound so loud I actually jumped! Bing sounds should automatically get softer when it's late at night.

Last night, when I was driving home, there was a full moon, and it was REALLY yellow. I loved it. It was other-worldly looking. The kind of moon that makes you wonder if maybe magic isn't going on somewhere in the world... Fairies, goblins, wizards. Basically, yellow moons make me think of Enid Blyton books.

And speaking of moons makes me think of the song 'Blue Moon' which makes me think of you Emily. There are few things more entertaining then 26 consecutive key changes.

Myer has a stock take sale on the moment. It's wonderful! (If you read mum's blog you'll notice all the toys she got there last week). I went shopping on Saturday, and bought some really nice winter stuff. I also bought a really nice new pair of shoes. I wore them to work yesterday, and they killed my feet all day. I didn't care though, because my feet looked so good. This is something I suspect members of the opposite sex will never really understand.

Okay. I'd better go to bed. I've put my mobile phone (aka my alarm clock) up on a high shelf in my room, because I'm pretty sure it's going to be a battle between the 'Tammy who remembers that she has to get into work early tomorrow' part of me, and the 'Tammy who'll kill anyone standing between her and the snooze button' part of me.

May the best girl win.

xo Tammy

PS. I make more sense in the mornings than I do late at night. I've really never been a night person. I'm a morning person. Accept for those times when I have trouble getting out of bed. Which was pretty much the entire 5 years that I lived in the US, so I realize that this whole 'Morning Person' thing may come as a shock to some of you...

PPS. I'm really tired.

On Sunday, my Sunday school teacher was teaching about the three degrees and she made a "blue moon" to represent one of them.

I started cracking up because she actually sang the words, "blue moon." It made me think of you and then I realized that everyone in the room was staring at me because of the giggling.

My b.

I love you and miss you heaps!

I will never understand the wearing uncomfortable shoes thing just because they look nice either, so it's not just members of the opposite sex. Personally, I wear the most comfortable shoes I can get away with in any given situation, even if they're hideous (Crocs rule!)

(I was teaching that lesson in GD, but skipped drawing in the sun, moon and stars.. I didn't want my scrawling to detract from the subject :)
We had a great time at the movie - I really enjoyed it, and the wonderful goodie bags you put together. Thank you!! We just missed you :(
I like your new shoes very much :)

When I read this blog aloud, Jonny tried to guess what you were thinking in regards to Moons. His answer was "New moon".

I am nearly finished the book. I reckon I can get it done today. I will have to borrow your next one :)
Love you!!
P.S. We will have to go together to see the Proposal!

Good plan, Tammy's mum. Because I definitely got distracted and then got the rest of the room off topic as well. :)

It's not my fault that blue moons make me think of my most favorite Aussie ever.

So I've started reading your blogs again, now that you have started writing them again! I really should perhaps do one of my own however I feel that mine would be far and few between, actually maybe I will start one with Tina for her mission! Keep up with these, and hopefully I will start one soon! we need a catch up xo

Tammy,
You make me smile when I read your entries. I remember visiting you in Provo all those years back - I think we all just laughed the whole time.
I hope you had a good nights rest.
Love ya,

Bec

I'm a night person. Maybe you switch to a morning person depending on which side of the equator you're on. At our house, the girl who'll kill anything between her and the snooze button ALWAYS wins! :)

Tammy this is a bit exciting! It's only been a few days since the last one so yay!! :)

I'm so sorry you had to go to Stake Meetings on Wednesday night!!! We missed you heeeaps! The gift packs were adorable, I'm going to write a little post on my blog about it soon so you can read my thankyou's then! :)

When I was reading what you wrote about the moon and being other-worldly and goblins, fairies, wizards etc I was thinking 'Bless Enid Blyton!' so I'm glad you were too! :)

I'm so excited for you getting to wear your cute new shoes, and I'm proud of you enjoying them despite the pain. I think it's a very important part of feeling like you look nice - the more it hurts, the happier you can feel about it lol :) I wish I had cute new shoes to hurt my feet like crazy! If only I didn't spend so much $ on exotic foods lately lol.

Love you heaps, see you soon! xoxox

PS: You don't make a whole lot more sense in the mornings...

It was so fun being at your work the other day Tammy! I got a bit of a buzz being at an audition again after not doing it for so long! Thanks again for inviting me.

I loved seeing you in your working environment! For some reason it was so different from seeing you at church, and you looked very professional in your job! Which I have to say, I imagine would be such a fun way to be paid!

I once endured 2 weeks of pain to break in some new shoes. Now they are just like a comfy pair of slippers. Pretty shoes are worth it! xxx Kaili

You a morning person! You're right I do find it hard to believe ;) I have to admit I'm not much of a morning person either unless I went to bed on time, and even then I some times have a hard time getting up. Oh well no hope. :)
