Tick Tock Tick Tock

My little sister Bethany is a hoot. She’s taken Abby’s place as the part-time receptionist where I work, so now she’s the one surfing the net at the front desk whenever the phones are quite.

About half an hour I walked through the reception area, and she was online filling out a survey that would determine her ‘biological age’. I heard about this on the radio last week, and it seems to be a bit of a cool thing to do at the moment – figure out what age your ‘body’ is: are you aging prematurely or cheating mother time?

Anyway, a few minutes ago, the slim, pretty and 19 year old Bethany came upstairs to give me the results:

Bethany: (resigned) So... Apparently my body is 26.
Tammy: (laughing) Oh no! What was the problem?
Bethany: (rolling her eyes) Apparently it’s my lifestyle!

Who knew that ‘exercising zero times a week’ and ‘avoiding staircases’ could cost you 7 years!

Don't worry Beth - you're pleanty young at heart :)

xo Tammy

Did Bethy indicate any desire to improve her lifestyle? (To be read in a hopeful mother tone:)

Doesn't Bethy have uni. study to do? (Again, hopeful tone, but with an edge of resignation.)

Nice to see you back, Tammy :)

She is older than me - hehe (well, my actual age that is). What would the family be like if we didn't have Bethany?

Love Jessima

Bethany I'm biologically 23! Apparently my problem is that I over-worry about a thing or two... (you probably don't even know what I'm talking about, it's rare...). But I'm younger than you (happy sigh :)!)

Yes Mum, I'm shocked! That's what I did when I had Bethster's job - uni uni uni no loafing for me! I trained her differently, I'm beyond shocked, actually! :)

Tammy it's nice that I can use your blog as a forum to chat to Bethany and Mum... :) I love you xoxox

Hi Abby! Hope you are feeling better? It's not as though you are terribly old :)

Hooray for a Tammy post...it's been too long.

I really hope to someday actually make it to Australia so I can finally meet all of the crazy characters from the stories I've heard and the comments I've read online!

I miss you heaps!

xoxo

P.S. I took that quiz when I was 25 and it told me I was 26. At least I'm only a year older than I really am!

Apparently I'm supposed to be 18... Who knew?!

I hate to even THINK what age MY body might be! I can only PRAY for 26! (But not with any sort of faith, so that would be in vain...as well as simply VAIN.)

LOL..love the post. I don't need to take a quiz to know how old my body is. It likes to remind me quite frequently that it is at least 50 years old, what with all the aches and pains and the hip joint problems that I've had for the last couple of months, and now the sore back...etc, etc. Yeah I know I'm old! :)

Chris leaves very, very soon and will be gone for quite a few months. He's going to be missing my parents and three brothers coming out for Easter weekend for the baby blessing. While I'm grateful for the steady paycheck and the free insurance, the military has some serious drawbacks. :(

Tammers--I know it's been ages since I have commented, but tonight is my night for blogging I guess. I am currently job hunting--need another receptionist? I have taken some silly quizzes of facebook, apparently I am Ingmar Bergman, Pablo Picasso and the movie Footloose... I haven't done this age one yet.
