I'll be back ;)

Hi all,

Just a quick email to let you know that I'll be out of town for three days for work. We're shooting another power station, so I'll be tanned, tired and dirty when I get back :) I'm heading to a place called Biloela here in Queensland, I believe it's in the middle of nowhere, but if anyone wants to do a little googling about Biloela and let me know something interesting about the place, that could be fun :)

On a slightly more serious note - I know that several of you are going through really difficult and challenging trials at the moment, and that several hearts are hurting. I just wanted to let you know that you'll be in my thoughts and prayers, and I really hope things are better soon. I also wanted to quickly share one of my favourite quotes:

"I testify that when the Lord closes one important door in your life, He shows His continuing love and compassion by opening many other compensating doors through your exercise of faith. He will place in your path packets of spiritual sunlight to brighten your way. They often come after the trial has been the greatest, as evidence of the compassion and love of an all-knowing Father. They point the way to greater happiness and more understanding and strengthen your determination to accept and be obedient to His will."
- Elder Richard G Scott.

Things will get better.
xo Tammy

LOL, Tammy that quote reminds me of a conversation we once had at BYU about that very thing and then that following Fast and Testimony meeting I was quoting you for saying something along those lines but I miss quoted you and said some to the effect of,
My friend said, when doors close, they close, that's it. In my head I finished quoting you correctly but actually never said it out loud. See that's the problem with fast working brains, you think you have said it all when you really haven't.
By the time you get back you would have read this. I hope you had a good trip.

BILOELA
(AKA 'THE BANANA SHIRE - a great place to visit, a great place to invest, a great place to live, a great place to grow')

Only an hour's flight from Brisbane, it boasts 400 beds available with over a dozen choices in accomodation. There are 'dining experiences to sample', two main shopping streets (including 'a modern air conditioned shopping centre with many stores').

Places to visit and things to do in the Banana Shire include:

'Spirit of the Land Mural' - on State Farm Road, depicting the history of the women in the Banana Shire (see pictures at http://www.biloela.com/passingthrough.html).

Greycliffe Homestead (by appointment only)

Callide Lookout (manmade/ 'specially constructed') with spectacular views overlooking the operations of the open cut coal mine (gorgeous!), Callide coalfields (stunning), and the power stations (magnificent).

Lake Callide - popular for fishing.

So if you, like Tammy - can't resist the many attractions and activities Biloela has to offer, book for your getaway now - only 399 beds left!!!

Is it weird to say I will miss you?

Yeah that is weird, but I'll say it anyway, because despite the fact that I miss you all the time, the thought of not seeing your name on gmail chat will be a different kind of miss.

Have fun in the Banana Shire. (Thank you abby for letting me know what to call it so I can pronounce it.)

As one of the hurty hearts, thank you for the quote. Its a nice reminder, and its nice to think that the door that was shut could also just be reopened in the Lord's time... cause it was that kind of door.

Brecken,
Biloela is pronounced 'Billowheela'. We have a lot of unusual place names in Aust. If you ever come for a holiday you could visit: Wooloomooloo, Humpty Doo, Tantanoola, Indooroopilly, Gundagai, Innaloo (but don't stop for lunch), Kaimkillenbun (nicknamed 'the Bun'), Cooper Pedy (which is Aboriginal for 'white fellows' hole in the ground' - so named because most people actually live underground in this opal mining town deep in the outback, in order to escape the searing desert temperatures), and lots more. Many places have double names, such as Bli Bli, Gin Gin, Woy Woy, Wagga Wagga, Bong Bong, etc.
Or you could visit Boyland, or Younghusband...

Your shoots don't need cameras! Just use your description of the airport, cow, fence, room, etc., etc., and it will (I am sure), win the academy award for 2008. Wow! you took me there: I didn't even get out of breath, although you took my breath away in laughter. The descriptive story needs no editing.
Now Tammy, this comment comes in the wrong category, because you didn't leave a 'COMMENT' button for me to click on. Keep shooting without a camera. Love from Gran xox I have to sign 'Anonymous' because I don't think your Blog will accept my comment otherwise.
